Ladies Auxiliary President's Report August 2017

Hello 312 Aux. Members;

On Aug 12th between 5-7 our dinner will be slow cooked roasted pork loin with garlic mashed potatoes, veggies, dinner roll and dessert. All of this for a donation of $10.00. Hopefully some of the proceeds could go towards the back to school program.

The children will be heading back to school soon, so maybe some of you could go to Wal-Mart or wherever you shop, and bring back some school supplies. (Staples & Office Depot is also a great place to shop). Maybe you might even be able to pick up a couple of back packs and some new Sneakers for the children. We will make sure that the items will be donated to the proper place.

Our Dept. of State Madam President Sherry Marecek,s theme for this year is for the Sheriff Youth Camp Ranch. So our Sept.  dinner proceeds will be going towards the Camp program. Dinner will be a 1 ¼ lb. Whole Maine Lobster, dozen clams. red potatoes, ½ ear of corn, salad plus dessert, all of this for a $26.00 donation. “What a deal!”  Tickets will be available at our August dinner. The tickets are limited. We will only be selling 100 dinners. So get your tickets soon. Mike & Tom will be the entertainment for the evening.

I would like to thank everyone who attended  the meeting last month. But it would be nice to see more members on our Tuesday meetings. We have the holidays coming up and I would like to know what you all would like to do during the holiday months.

            It would be great to start collecting the lap blankets again to go to our veterans at Bay Pines or even at our local nursing home.

As always, we are in need of volunteers, so please sign up on the signup sheet  in the restroom if you can help out. Most of you know, but some of you might not know, but the 1st Sunday of the month, it is our responsibility to handle the breakfast, (except for the 1st Sunday in Oct.) That is our “Relay for Life Breakfast” and I need help for this time. I cannot and will not do this alone. Please put a note in the Aux. office door with your phone number on it

 stating that you can help out with breakfast. If we can get enough to help out, some of us will not have to do it every month.

Thank you to all of the volunteers that did help out with last month’s function. Let’s please all work together for a better year and help make our Aux #1 in the state by making out our service reports and turning them in on a timely fashion. Working together with the AMVETS is why we are here.

Yours in service,

Elizabeth Labossiere Ladies Auxiliary President Post 312
