Ladies Auxiliary President's Report September 2017

Hello 312 Aux. Members;

Well, it has been 3 mos. since I have become President of the AMVETS Ladies Aux. 312 of which I am very proud to be, but something needs to give. We need more volunteers to help us with our Breakfasts and our Dinners. I do thank you for the ones that have been helping out and hope that you will continue to help, but we also need some others to step up to the plate.

This month we are doing our Lobster Feast  on Sat. Sept. 9th and we only have a limited number of dinners to sell.  If you are interested in a dinner, I would suggest that you come into the Post and get your tickets. You will receive 1 ¼ Maine Lobster . dozen clams, potatoes plus dessert for only $26.00 per dinner.

For Oct., we have our Boobie Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 8th plus a bake sale. More info will follow for the breakfast details. On Oct. 14th we have Monster bingo, pay in is $50.00 but the payout is $2,000.00 based on 60 players. After bingo we will have our dinner, which will be Pork Schnitzel at $10.00. Proceeds from these events will be going towards Relay for Life.

If you get a chance, please pick up some school supplies and drop them off in a box by the Aux. office door. Some of the children are also in need of personal items, such as  socks, undergarments & personal hygiene items.

The holidays are fast approaching and the homeless & some of our veterans need our help. We would like to be able to give a couple of Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners to a couple of needy families. They are also in need of some personal items to help make their holidays a little bit nicer. Please show your support! If you do not want to do the shopping, we will do it for you. Please  just leave a check in the Aux. door make it out to Amvets Ladies Aux. 312 and ear mark it to a program that you wish for it to go towards. Such as school supplies, holiday dinners, clothing, etc. Remember that this is a tax deductible item.

The food banks will also  be needing our help again, so you could also drop off some non-perishable items  at the Post as well.

With these thoughts in mind, please see how YOU can help out.

Yours in service,

Elizabeth Labossiere Ladies Auxiliary President Post 312
